As an entrepreneur you are always working. But how do you avoid never being able to take a moment for yourself because 'there is always something to do'? Or that you become completely exhausted from all the stimuli from your email and mobile phone?
More balance and more peace of mind has a lot to do with better planning. You have one life that you have to make do with and that you can organize as you see fit. You spend part of it on work, part on your family, part on hobbies, etc. By thinking smartly about how you organize your life, you can use your time much more efficiently. You know when to do what. And are you at work? Then you are also fully at work. But have you scheduled time for your family? Then you can focus on it 100%.
Make sure you don't forget to consciously schedule time for yourself. Don't be afraid of not having to do anything. It is very healthy and even necessary to do nothing every now and then. Inspiration and creativity can arise from peace. Schedule relaxation in your agenda, otherwise you won't do it and there are always 'more important' things you can do. For example, give yourself a few hours off every Friday afternoon or block a day a month in your calendar to recharge. And that could be anything! A day in the sauna, an afternoon of walking in nature, a nice massage or simply doing nothing for a whole day.
Are you working? Then put your cell phone away and close your email. This way you won't be distracted by incoming messages. Instead, answer your emails and texts at fixed times, so that you are not constantly distracted and are working on new input. In addition, use social media consciously. Social media can be a blessing and a curse. They can bring you a lot of inspiration and they are a great way to promote yourself. But you can also quickly lose yourself in it. Don't automatically reach for your phone, but do so consciously with a purpose. You will see that it will bring you much more peace!
