4. "Growing up, you're told that that's the way the world is and that all you have to do is live your life within that world. Try not to bump into the walls too much. Try to have a nice family life , have fun, save a little money. That's a very limited life. Life can be much bigger if you discover this simple fact: "Everything around you that you call life was made up by people who were no smarter than you .And you can change it, you can influence it... Once you learn that, you will never be the same again."

This quote reminds me of my childhood. At first you look at other adults and think, "Wow, this is what being an adult looks like." But the older you get, you realize that everyone is just doing their best to keep everything together. Jobs got it: You don't have to be this way, and you certainly don't have to lie to yourself, to keep the machine running at your own expense.

5. “Being aware that you are going to die is the best way I know to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. You are already naked. There is no reason not to follow your heart ."

It may be a bit on the edge, but he's right. Death comes eventually for all of us, so why should we spend even a second doing things we don't want to do. Of course, everyone has responsibilities in life, but you don't have to waste your days doing something you don't love.
