I hold her Bachelor Degree on Agricultural Engineering and Landscape Architecture with two Master’s Degrees: Green Planning in Cities in Ankara (Ankara University) and Urban Environmental Management in the Netherlands (Wageningen University). I am working as a Consultant for sustainable development, environment, water and nature conservation. I am also affiliated as Researcher at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Department of Social and Cultural Anthropology, at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, where I recently completed her PhD research on urban development and coastal zone management focusing on conflicting issues of water and fishery management.I have long years of experiences working with the government in the Development Bank in Ankara, Turkey and as Head of Capacity Building and Programme Manager for Nature and Society in an International NGO, namely ECNC- European Centre for Nature Conservation, in the Netherlands. My expertise lies into the connection with policy, practice and science in partnership projects and programmes at EU and Global level focusing on co-management, stakeholder development, and communication for nature conservation and water management. I am involved in various “knowledge-based” training workshops as trainer, chair, facilitator, and moderator including working with diverse communities from different cultures and traditions.
