Hi, I'm Chared, communication consultant offering interim/project-based communication management, 1-on-1 coaching and training. I have 20+ years experience in storytelling, advocacy and corporate/internal communication before I started my own company, Good Comms.
My mission is to create a more inclusive world through my communication practice -- whether in building better places to work through a sense of belonging (internal comms) or facilitating positive sustainable change (e.g. climate action, diversity & inclusion, sustainability).
EXPERIENCE
Having worked in a broad range of industries -- news & media, science & health, European-funded research and innovation, international development and technology -- and in various communication roles has turned me into an all-round communication professional. With my vast communication experience & skill set, I can easily maneuver between tactical and strategic roles.
CONTINUOUS DEVELOPMENT
Fluent in English, Filipino and Dutch, I am always learning and challenging myself. In 2021, I finished my Executive MSc in Corporate Communication at the RSM Erasmus University with a research on "internal communication & belonging in the virtual workplace" where I developed a framework that can be used to improve the current state of belonging at work. This year, 2022, I am getting certified in transformational coaching to add more depth to my practice. I am a certified member of the Institute of Internal Communication (CIIC), and member of CIPR, PRCA and LOGEION.
BEYOND WORK
Next to my work, I lead a LeanIn Circle and volunteer as "50 Ways to Fight Bias" Facilitator. I love to travel ultralight, discover ancient civilizations and (neuro)geek out on strengths psychology. A self-confessed prepper, I live with my urban farmer husband and preschooler in South Holland.
