I have always had a natural curiosity for ships. As a child, you could always find me up and around the waterways. This passion remained and after high school I decided that I wanted to obtain a master degree in maritime engineering at the TU-Delft. After my graduation I specialized in structural design and analysis and in general ship design.
Working as a structural design engineer my major tasks were: Performing and checking structural- and stability calculations, leading a group of draftsmen, handling class approval, and resolving any issues with class society and the yard. In total I have successfully managed the structural design of four aluminum high speed vessels.
In my role as a design and proposal engineer my main objective was to manage tenders and proposals. On a daily basis I wrote technical specifications, performed weight estimations and managed that all other documents needed were made according to customer- and class requirements. The type of vessels within my design and tender portfolio: High speed catamarans, crew supplier vessels, pilot vessels, interceptors, speed boats, small coastal carriers.
Currently I am working in the maritime industry as a freelance engineer. If you want to know more about me or what I can offer, send me a message or reach out to me via e-mail: ************
