While working at DEKAT Magazine I was responsible for a new prodcut that we wanted to launch: a voucher booklet called the DELUXE booklet. I was responsible for selling the voucher pages (over 40 vouchers) to stores at participating shopping centres that wished to take part. I was also responsible for the marketing and distribution of the booklets (this included a billboard and handouts of the booklets at the participating shopping centres). The design and layout was done by a colleague, Matty Naude.

While at DEKAT Magazine I sold a 4 page advertorial to Clover where we invite stars from a local film that was to be released later that year (Platteland) to come and cook their favourite dishes in Miele showroom kitchens. The shoot was also filmed by three senior students from the graphic design institure OpenWindow as part of the online marketing of the advertorial on our website. I was also responsible for writing the copy for the advertorial. Here is a low res copy of the Eng version.

I was responsible for the booking (placing) and creation of MiRO's (an ICT distribution company in SA) adverts. I would make sure that the content and design created by our copywriter and designer were according to the brief and check for quality and design. It was incredibly important to meet our deadlines for the print publications and it was my responsibility that the artwork was approved and signed off by the managing director and commercial manager on time. Designs were created by a colleague Vincent Maile.
